Rodney Sherwin Shibu is a highly skilled software engineer with a passion for entrepreneurship. He completed his Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree in Computer Science with a minor in Entrepreneurship at the University of Michigan. With over 3 years of relevant experience, he is currently employed as a Software Engineer at Uber in NYC. In addition to his work at Uber, Rodney is also the co-founder of Honesti, a wellness product that provides peer support resources to college students. As the CTO, he led a team of 8 engineers to develop and launch applications using React, React Native, and Firebase. Honesti (previously known as Kare) placed 3rd in the Carnegie Mellon Venture Challenge and was invited to pitch to Rough Draft Ventures and Dorm Room Fund. They were also selected as the only undergraduate team in +Impact Studio at Michigan Ross for Summer 2020. Honesti won the Social Impact Pitch competition along with $20,000 funding, 12 months of legal services, and other benefits. Rodney's past experience includes working as a Technology Analyst at Bank of America. He has a strong tech stack that includes expertise in software engineering, SQL, Python, and UI. He is a highly motivated individual who is always looking for ways to improve his skills and knowledge. Rodney's education history includes a Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree in Computer Science from the University of Michigan, where he was also a part of the Leadership in the Business World program at the Wharton School. He completed his high school education at the International School of Choueifat Abu Dhabi. Rodney is a self-starter who is always willing to take on new challenges.
